Michael Erickson

Michael Erickson has over 35 years of experience in the mining industry.

He was with Anglogold Ashanti from July 2002 to July 2023, initially as a geology manager before being appointed general manager of Sunrise Dam in November 2006, vice president of technical & business improvement in February 2012, and senior vice president of Australia in February 2014.

Mr Erickson was appointed to a senior corporate advisory role at Carey Group in October 2023. He oversaw the long-term partnership between AngloGold and Carey, who has provided mining services to its Tropicana and Sunrise Dam Gold Mines.

Mr Erickson holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Geology from the University of Wollongong, a Graduate Diploma in Management from the University of Cape Town, and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
