Michael Edwards is a geologist, economist and corporate advisor with over 25 years of experience in senior management within the private and public sector.
Since 2010, Mr Edwards has been consulting as a geologist across a range of commodities, predominantly in Australia and Africa. He was also a corporate advisor and has been involved in numerous ASX listings and reverse takeovers across a range of commodities and industries. He spent three years with Barclays Australia in their corporate finance department and 8 years as an exploration & mine geologist with Gold Mines of Australia, Eagle Mining and International Mineral Resources.
Mr Edwards has a Bachelor of Business (majoring in Economics and Finance) from Curtin University of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Western Australia.
Mr Edwards is also a qualified winemaker with a Graduate Diploma in Oenology from the University of Adelaide. Between 2000 and 2010, he was the owner and winemaker of his family wine business, Edwards Wines, based in Margaret River, Western Australia.
