Melissa Sanderson

Non-Executive Director / American Rare Earths

Melissa Sanderson has over 30 years of experience across mining and government relations. She is also experienced in multi-cultural management, gender/minority issues, strategic planning, negotiations, political and economic analysis, and economic development within the mining industry.

Ms Sanderson advises ASX-listed Hawkstone Mining, sits on the board of American Rare Earths, and is a Professor at Arizona State University's School of Global Management.

She was a senior diplomat in the US Department of State. As chargee d'affaires, she led the US Embassy in Kinshasa.

Ms Sanderson has won numerous awards including the prestigious Athena Award for the Private Sector, and the Phoenix Business Journal's Dynamic Women in Business.
