Melissa Perry has a Bachelor of Social Work and a career in the community and employment services sectors that spans 20 years in executive and senior management positions. She is an active advocate for inclusion and safety of individuals, families and communities.
Ms Perry is also an influential figure in the Western Australia community services sector, lobbying for reform and increasing awareness with the intent to drive social change and achieve positive long-term sustainable outcomes.
Prior to becoming chief executive of Communicare, she was the state director of WA for Mission Australia. Throughout her time with Centrecare, Ms Perry also consulted as an executive to the WA Ministerial Council for Suicide Prevention which is responsible for implementing the Government’s Suicide Prevention Strategy across Western Australia.
