Indigenous business pioneer Tucker hits milestone
Carey Mining was one of the first private Aboriginal contractors to be established in Australia and it’s still going strong.
Meath Hammond is a general manager and corporate affairs professional with over 20 years of experience in a variety of challenging roles.
Mr Hammond is BHP’s head of corporate affairs for Western Australia. Prior to taking on this role, he was based in Houston, Texas where he held a number of positions at BHP including head of corporate affairs for North American Shale & Minerals. Before joining BHP, Mr Hammond worked at Woodside Petroleum for ten years and was based in Perth and Karratha.
He was a director on the David Wirrpanda Foundation, inaugural chair of the Pilbara Australian Technical College, and is a trustee of CEDA WA.
