Matthew Smithyman spent over 20 years in the financial services industry specialising in the private client and wealth management industry. He began his career in Johannesburg, South Africa working at Stockbroker SG Frankel Pollak before immigrating to Australia in 2000 where he joined Commsec Advisory, advising high networth clients on portfolio construction using fixed income, domestic and international equities. Mr Smithyman joined UBS Wealth Management in 2004 and as executive director, he focused on establishing global investment portfolios, with strong risk management frameworks, for his clients which included corporate executives, business owners and family offices. Mr Smithyman is ASX accredited and qualified to advise on equities, fixed income, foreign exchange derivatives and superannuation. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours in Accountancy and Economics.
