Perth engineers to build $1.1bn manganese project
The Perth office of global engineering firm Wood will lead work on a giant $1.1 billion manganese project in central Europe after winning a four-year contract.
Matthew James is a highly experienced corporate executive working in established global industrials and small growth companies, with extensive experience in the natural resources, chemicals and environmental services sectors. He also has extensive experience in developing companies within the global natural resources industry.
Previous executive roles included being vice president of strategy & corporate communications at Lynas Corporation, founding managing director of Rutila Resources, and vice president of strategy and business development at Harsco Corporation.
Mr James holds a Bachelors degree in Engineering (Ceramic Engineering, Honours) from the University of New South Wales, and a PhD in Material Science and Engineering from Queens’ College at the University of Cambridge. He is a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Directors.
