What exactly is a "green building"?
In Perth, buildings are increasingly being designed as “green” in an effort to increase sustainability and reduce our greenhouse gas emissions.
Matthew Blycha advises on the development, construction and operation of resource projects. He worked on large-scale infrastructure projects and project finance transactions in industries including power, mining, rail and oil and gas across Asia, Australia and the Middle East.
Mr Blycha acts for operators, managers, contractors, specialist sub-contractors and joint venture participants, and has also worked in-house with energy companies regarding the development of LNG projects. He also advises and assists in the negotiations of all forms of project contracts including concession agreements, supply and off-take agreements, and construction contracts including EPC, EPCM, design and construct contracts and operation and maintenance agreements.
Mr Blycha has particular experience with offshore construction and other offshore oil and gas operations, and has advised clients in relation to dispute resolution and worked with clients on international arbitrations under various rules including ICC, SIAC, UNCITRAL and ad-hoc arbitrations.
