Harness innovation to maximise gas investment, sector urged
Multinational oil and gas service providers have set up in WA for the long haul, as the state searches for the best way to enhance its competitive advantage.
Mary Hackett is a highly experienced resources industry executive and company director. She is the chair-elect of Future Energy Exports, director of LNG Marine Fuel Institute, and a Fellow of the Institute of Engineers Australia. Ms Hackett began her career in engineering (in Ireland) as a design engineer on North Sea Oil and Gas facilities.
Ms Hackett moved to Australia in the 1990s and worked at Woodside where she led all engineering for its production assets, ultimately becoming the senior vice president of oil assets. Ms Hackett was the regional director of GE Oil & Gas, Australia & New Zealand, where she was responsible for leading the business and setting strategy.
She is a passionate advocate for women, and has mentored over 50 female employees during her time at GE. She is also executive sponsor of the GE Women’s Network.
