Martin Bennett

Martin Bennett is the principal and a driving figure at Bennett + Co. For over 34 years, he has established himself as one of Perth’s leading advocates.

Mr Bennett appears in the High Court, Federal Court and WA Supreme Court in all areas of civil and commercial litigation and regulation.

In 1981, at age 27, he became a partner at Mallesons Stephen Jacques. In 1986, he became a partner at Keall Brinsdon (now Corrs Chambers Westgarth).

In 1989, he founded the boutique law firm Bennett and Co which subsequently merged with Phillips Fox Perth to form Lavan Legal in 2006. Mr Bennett was general counsel of Lavan Legal for five years before he re-established his former practice Bennett+Co as a specialist corporate and commercial law firm in February 2011.
