Markku Makela

Professor Mäkelä has extensive experience in the economic geological and mining sector in Finland and globally. He served as a Director of the Geological Survey of Finland (GTK) until his retirement in October 2008. Dr. Mäkelä spent six years as a Technical Manager and Alternate Director of the UN Revolving Fund for Natural Resources Exploration and he remains a member of the UN Committee on Energy and Natural Resources for Development.
