Pitt, Chester receive cabinet promotions
Nationals MPs Keith Pitt and Darren Chester have been elevated to federal cabinet in a ministerial reshuffle.
Mark Coulton is an Australian federal politician and a Member of the Australian House of Representatives representing the seat of Parkes, New South Wales for the National Party of Australia.
He was initially elected in 2007 and re-elected at the 2010 federal election. Mr Coulton has been the Assistant Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment since March 2018. He was the Deputy Speaker of the House between 2016 and 2018. Mr Coulton was the mayor of Gwydir Shire Council from 2004 until 2007.
In the February 2020 cabinet reshuffle, Mr Coulton took over as the Minister for Regional Health, Regional Communications and Local Government. He lost all portfolios in July 2021 following a leadership spill and the re-election of Barnaby Joyce as Nationals leader and deputy prime minister.
