Maree Ferguson has over 12 years of experience representing employers, insurers and self-insured entities in the management and defence of workers’ compensation and general liability claims. She acts for, and advises, both insurers and self-insurers in the management and resolution of workers’ compensation claims and regularly appears in the Workers’ Compensation Conciliation and Arbitration Services at WorkCover WA and the District Court of WA. In 2015, Ms Ferguson was seconded to WFI, part of the IAG Group, where she managed the workers’ compensation and liability teams’ claims and gained valuable insight into claims management from an insurer’s perspective. She is a member of the Women Lawyers of Western Australia and the Australian Insurance Lawyers Association.
