Lucas Stanfield is a mining engineer with over 15 years of experience in mining and project management in Australia, Africa, and the United Kingdom.
Prior to becoming the chief operating officer of Mining Plus in January 2022, Mr Stanfield spent over 8 years at Peak Rare Earths (formerly Peak Resources), commencing as manager for the company’s scoping, preliminary feasibility, refinery location selection and bankable feasibility studies. He spent a considerable amount of time in Tanzania representing the company, and has an excellent working relationship with all stakeholders in the country and is very well placed to further advance the Ngualla Project. Mr Stanfield became the company's general manager of development from October 2017 to January 2021 where he was responsible for its activities in Tanzania.
He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) from the University of New South Wales.
