New subcontractor body calls for payment change
A new body for local subcontractors is calling for participation in a survey to help reshape the payment process in the industry.
Louise Stewart is the chief executive and founder of ProjectPay, a global payments platform that simplifies and guarantees project payments for building projects, project owners, contractors and sub-contractors.
A serial entrepreneur and global IT executive, Ms Stewart was selected in 2020 by the UK Government’s Global Entrepreneur program to expand the construction worker benefits of ProjectPay to UK building and construction organisations.
Ms Stewart was chair of the Australian Subcontractors Association. She was also the founder of the Revive Clinics, the largest provider of pharmacy flu vaccinations in Australia, and was recognised for introducing the concept of flu vaccinations into Australian pharmacies with an online booking platform. Prior to that, she held several senior sales and management roles in global Fortune 500 technology companies in the USA, UK and Sydney.
