Louise Kingston was born in Albany and has worked in and around the south and southwest regions of Western Australia. She has also established a business in Manjimup, where she has been living with her family for over 20 years.
In September 2023 Ms Kingston became a member of the legislative council for the South West Region, representing the WA Nationals. She was the Party’s second candidate for the South West Region at the 2021 election, and replaces former WA Nationals MP James Hayward who was disqualified from parliament in August 2023. Ms Kingston was immediately elevated to the shadow cabinet as the Shadow Minister for Climate Action and Regional Cities.
Prior to entering politics, Ms Kingston was a manager on the Manjimup Community Resources Centre. Her family runs an engineering business and a small farm.
