Lisa Ward

Lisa Ward was appointed a magistrate of the Magistrates Court of WA in 2018. Ms Ward was admitted to practice in Western Australia in 1990 and has many years of legal experience gained in Perth and as a solicitor in London. She worked at the Australian Government Solicitor before becoming a Prosecutor with the Commercial Branch of the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions in 1997. For 14 years, Ms Ward was a member of the State Administrative Tribunal and the Migration Review Tribunal and Refugee Tribunal, before becoming the Principal Assistant Ombudsman, Investigations and Legal Services.
