Prior to joining the East Metropolitan Health Service, Lisa Seaburne-May was the service director for Service 5 at Fiona Stanley and Fremantle Hospital Group which covers mental health, the State Rehabilitation Service and patient support services at Fremantle Hospital. Before moving to Australia in 2015, Ms Seaburne-May held senior leadership roles in the UK National Health Service for over 20 years, including as director of strategy and operations and deputy director of the Psychological Medicine Clinical Academic Group for King's Health Partners in London. She has extensive experience of strategy development, leading clinical service reviews, significant service redesign and operational management in large hospitals, mental health and primary care services. Ms Seaburne-May holds a MA in Health and Social Care Leadership and a BA (Hons) in Health Management. She has participated in development programs with the King's Fund College in London and has also been a volunteer mentor and assessor for the NHS Management Training Scheme.
