Lee (Les) Guthrie has over 45 years of experience in the development and delivery of projects across the mining, infrastructure and energy sectors. He had also held high‐level roles within senior corporate management, project management and capital program development for major engineering and resources companies in the UK, Australia, North America and Asia.
Mr Guthrie is the principal & managing director of Bedford Road Associates, an independent consultancy providing professional advice and support for the development and delivery of major capital expenditure programs. He was vice president of projects (Potash in Canada) for BHP Billiton, before holding senior roles including as group head of projects and president of LNG for BG Group, president of Aker Kvaerner in the US, and managing director of Kvaerner Australia. Mr Guthrie was one of the founding advisors of the John Grill Centre for Project Leadership at Sydney University, and is engaged as a subject matter expert by Ernst and Young Advisory practice.
He holds a Bachelor of Science (Engineering and Marketing) from University of the West of Scotland, and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
