Positive signals from new generation of local gold players
Silver Lake Resources and Regis Resources are in the vanguard of a revival in the state’s gold industry.
Leslie Davis has a Masters in Mineral Economics from Curtin University and over 38 years of mining industry experience, including 17 years hands-on experience in mine development and narrow vein mining.
His career incorporates over 20 years of senior management and executive experience including roles as mine manager, technical services manager, concentrator manager, resident manager and general manager of expansion projects with organisations including WMC Resources, Reliance Mining and Consolidated Minerals.
Mr Davis is the founding managing director of ASX-listed Silver Lake Resources, and founding director of gold explorer Black Cat Syndicate.

Silver Lake Resources and Regis Resources are in the vanguard of a revival in the state’s gold industry.
Integra Mining has agreed to a $426 million takeover by fellow gold miner Silver Lake Resources in a move that will create one of the nation's larger producers of the precious metal.
WHEN Silver Lake Resources managing director Les Davis and Integra Mining chief Chris Cairns used the first day of the recent Diggers & Dealers Forum in Kalgoorlie to unveil the $1 billion merger of their gold miners, imaginations began to run wild.
