Leighton Yates has more than 22 years of experience in tourism and hospitality in the East and West coasts of Australia.
He commenced his career on Hamilton Island in Queensland and rose through the ranks at AccorHotels, operating properties in NSW before returning to QLD to take up management positions in Brisbane. From 2010, Mr Yates was general manager of various properties, including heading up AccorHotels' 5-star Pullman Resort in the Bunker Bay Margaret River Wine Region until March 2022 when he became general manager of Crown Metropol and Promenade Hotels.
Mr Yates was the owner of two previous restaurants which won awards, including WA Best Contemporary Australian Restaurant Award as issued by the WA Restaurant and Catering Association.
