Synergy boss David Fyfe resigns
David Fyfe has resigned as chief executive of the state-owned energy retailer Synergy to pursue other opportunities after more than four years in the top role.
Kurt Baker was appointed to Synergy's executive team in 2014 from his previous role as general manager of trading and fuel at Verve Energy. Mr Baker has primary responsibility for optimising Synergy’s wholesale portfolio, managing fuel and electricity trading activities, contract management, and marketing electricity & wholesale products.
He became acting Synergy's chief executive officer in February 2025.
