Kristy McBain is an Australian politician and a member of the Labor Party, representing the division of Eden-Monaro since 2020.
Ms McBain became a councillor for Bega Valley Shire in September 2012, and was elected mayor in September 2016. She resigned as mayor and councillor in March 2020 to contest the July 2020 Eden-Monaro by-election. Following the Labor Party's victory at the 2022 federal election, Ms McBain became the Minister for Regional Development, Local Government and Territories Relations under the Albanese government.
