Kevin Caton is a Kalkadoon man originally from North Queensland and now resides in Western Australia. Mr Caton has 25 years experience in indigenous affairs nationally where he consults to mining companies, contractors, building companies, government and Indigenous organisations nationally. He has vast exposure to the mining and construction industry and extensive experience with State and Federal governments.
Mr Caton worked with various Commonwealth Departments as an Indigenous manager and overseeing the development, implementation and reviewing of specific policies and strategies. He was also responsible for the development and implementation of DEETYA and DSS’s National Cross Cultural Awareness Training Program, which was targeted firstly at all senior managers and then included all the rank and file staff from both departments. Mr Caton then joined the WA State Government agency DIA as regional director of the Pilbara.
