Kent Matla is a First Nations entrepreneur, a Certified Innovation Manager, Certified Innovation Professional, and Certified Innovation Professional Trainer with the Global Innovation Management Institute. He has extensive insights into doing business in Asia, and is an international business specialist and mentor.
Mr Matla spent over 25 years in corporate advisory roles across a broad range of industry sectors, and over 30 years in Asia including living in China for 21 years.
He is the managing director of Triangle Capital Partners, an Australian Indigenous-owned boutique corporate advisory firm; and managing partner of Triangle Equity Partners, which assists businesses with high-growth potential to breakthrough by providing a unique combination of business advisory services and capability building programs.
During his 21 years in China, Mr Matla held various roles with not-for-profit organisations, including 13 years as a director where he was deputy/vice chair & treasurer of AustCham Beijing; vice chair and treasurer of the Global Mining Association of China; and director of the China International Alternative Investment Association. He was also chief executive of a corporate advisory and investment banking firm based in Beijing.
Mr Matla holds an MBA from Curtin University, a Diploma (International Company Directors Course) from the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and is pursuing a DBA with Curtin University.
