Katie Mead was among the first lawyers to join Jones Day’s Perth Office when it opened in 2014. She has worked on a number of significant construction arbitration and litigation disputes arising out of some of the world’s largest oil and gas and mining infrastructure projects for major international players in the energy, resources and infrastructure sectors.
Ms Mead has significant experience acting for principals, contractors, and subcontractors in both arbitration and litigation proceedings.
She actively participates in legal and industry associations including being on the committee of Women in Oil and Gas in Western Australia, a representative on multiple subcommittees within the Society of Construction Law Australia, and a member of the Health and Wellbeing committee for the National Association of Women in Construction.
Ms Mead was awarded the 2021 Australian Young Construction Lawyer of the Year by the Law Council of Australia.
