Directors’ confidence in Coalition wanes
Business directors’ confidence in the Coalition has fallen dramatically as the Abbott government’s first budget looms, according to a new survey.
Kathleen Conlon spent 20 years in professional consulting where she successfully assisted companies in achieving increased shareholder returns through strategic and operational improvements across a diverse range of industries. She is one of the pre-eminent thought leaders in the area of operations and change management, both in Australia and globally. She has worked in Europe, United States, Asia and Australasia.
After a successful 20-year executive career in consulting, Ms Conlon became a professional company director where she has been involved with companies such as CSR, REA Group, Aristocrat Leisure, The Benevolent Society, and Lynas Corporation. She was also president of the NSW division of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a member of Chief Executive Women, and chair of the audit committee of the Commonwealth Department of Health. In January 2024, Ms Conlon became the first female to chair the board of Pilbara Minerals.
In 2003, Ms Conlon was awarded the Commonwealth Centenary medal for services to business leadership.
