Kate Lamont AM has over three decades of experience in the wine, food and tourism industries in Western Australia. She has overseen the development of her family’s business from a one-person farm to an integrated food and wine group with over 80 employees. The family operates licensed restaurants, cellar door and specialist wine stores in the Swan Valley, Margaret River, Perth CBD and Cottesloe.

Ms Lamont was a board member of Tourism WA in 2004 and appointed chair in 2006 by then Labor Tourism Minister Mark McGowan. She was also a board member of Tourism Australia and in July 2010 was appointed deputy chair of Tourism Australia. Ms Lamont was a director in the formative years of Committee For Perth and returned in 2018 as chair.

In 2020, Ms Lamont was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia for significant services to the tourism and hospitality sectors in Western Australia.
