Karen Wellman is a geologist with 20 years of experience covering all aspects of the mining cycle from early-stage exploration, production and mine geology, through to resource definition and estimation on multiple ore deposits and commodities including gold, copper, lead, zinc, nickel and silver.
She was chief executive of Jindalee Resources in October 2020 and became chief executive of Dynamic Metals, a spinout of Jindalee Resources, in November 2022. Prior to that, she has been the resource development manager of Silver Lake Resources and made significant contributions to the success of the Deflector GoldCopper Project in WA. She was also a consultant for Optiro, a senior resource geologist of Boliden Minerals AB in Sweden, and held multiple roles at St Ives Gold Mine with Gold Fields Australia.
