Karen Fleischer is a commercial lawyer with more than 30 years of experience working in major law firms and as an in-house legal adviser to a number of companies. Ms Fleischer is currently Senior Legal Counsel at an ASX 100 Western Australian lithium company, having previously been general counsel of resources for a global resources company with operations in Western Australia, the US and Japan for 8 years. Prior to that she spent over 10 years as the senior in-house legal adviser for an ASX 200 company involved in agricultural investment.
Ms Fleischer also has wide ranging experience with not-for-profit and professional organisations as a Director of Brightwater Care Group, a large not-for-profit aged care and disability provider and previously as a member of the Western Australian State Executive of the Australian Corporate Lawyers Association (now Association of Corporate Counsel), with 2 years as a director and Western Australian State President. She has also served over 15 years as a member of the Western Australian Regional Council for Redkite, a national not-for-profit organisation providing financial, emotional and educational support to children and young people with cancer and their families, including 5 years as President. Ms Fleischer has been a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors since 2000.
