June Moorhouse has worked in the arts industry for more than 30 years since graduating from the Drama School of the Victorian College of the Arts.
After many years in senior management roles, including as director of Fremantle Arts Centre throughout the 1990s, she began her consulting career and has worked with organisations across all artforms, in WA and nationally and has managed festivals, conferences and events along the way. Her consulting focuses on business planning and all aspects of organisational development. Ms Moorhouse's career has included years of thinking about and working on the arts' role in engaging and enlivening communities and she has served on major state and national funding and policy committees addressing this issue.
She was a recipient of an Australia Council Fellowship in 2002.
In 2013, Ms Moorhouse worked on developing Strut Dance's new business plan and joined the board soon after the completion of this work.
