Julie Wager
Judge, Chief Judge from 2020 / District Court of Western Australia
Julie Wager was admitted as a legal practitioner in 1986. She became the first magistrate appointed to the Drug Court from 2001-2005 and subsequently became a judge of the District Court of Western Australia in 2005. In May 2020 Ms Wager will become the second woman to be appointed chief judge of the District Court of Western Australia, and one of 12 female District Court judges in the State. She was president of the Criminal Lawyers Association of WA and president of the Children’s Court of WA.
