Julie Phillips

Julie Phillips is chair of AusBiotech, the peak biotechnology industry association in Australia, and chief executive & director of biotechnology company BioDiem and its subsidiary Opal Biosciences. She has experience in the biotech and pharmaceutical industry, having worked as the chief executive and director of Australian startup biotechnology companies operating in the life sciences sector. Her technical background is in clinical trials, regulatory affairs and pharmaco-economic assessment and pricing of therapeutics. Ms Phillips is a council member of the University of Newcastle, and member of Innovation Australia’s R&D Incentive Committee.
