Julia Redwood is a multi-award winning producer, director and writer.
Ms Redwood co-founded Prospero Productions with Ed Punchard in 1991. As joint managing director of Prospero, she oversees production, research and development of new ideas; and heads up the marketing and distribution overseas of new and completed projects. In May 2021, Ms Redwood became the sole owner of Prospero Productions following the departure of Mr Punchard.
Ms Redwood is a member of the Screen Producers Association of Australia and the Screenwest board advisory committee.
In 1998, her directorial debut “Paying for the Piper” was nominated for two AFI awards and won the Golden Spire Award at the 2000 San Francisco Film Festival.
In 2021, she won the Western Australian of the Year's Business Award.
