Jozsef Patarica is a mining engineer with over 30 years of operational and executive experience within the resources industry in Australia, West Africa and South America. He has been involved in executive and general management, project development, business improvement, and has successfully transitioned several projects through the development phase into sustainable operations.
Mr Patarica was also involved in developing and operating mining operations across major mining centres in Australia with Newcrest Mining (Cadia Hill Gold Mine), Placer Dome Asia Pacific (corporate & project development group), and Northgate Minerals Corporation (Fosterville Gold Mine). He was chief executive of the Grande Cote Operations, a minerals sands producer in Senegal for Mineral Deposits Limited; managed the development of the Fosterville Gold Mine, the largest gold producer in Victoria; and chief executive of Gippsland Critical Minerals which is focused on developing the Fingerboards Mineral Sands Project in Victoria. Mr Patarica became the chief executive of Strandline Resources, an emerging producer of heavy mineral sands, in July 2023.
