John Wallington

John Wallington has over 30 years of experience in the coal exploration and mining industry, and holds a BSc in Mining Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. He has participated in executive programmes with both the London Business School and the Harvard Business School. Mr Wallington joined the coal division of Anglo American in 1981 and was chief executive of the South African Region before being appointed chief executive of Anglo Coal globally.
