John Thomson has over 25 years of experience working across the human services sector.
Mr Thomson started his career as a support coordinator where he was involved in co-designing & implementing individualised supports. He then joined the Australian Red Cross, developing and implementing regionally-based community services & programs, and taking a keen interest in International Humanitarian Law. Mr Thomson began working with the government in 1998, holding senior positions with the Department of Housing, Department of the Premier and Cabinet, Disability Services Commission, and Department for Communities where he led the implementation of the National Disability Insurance Scheme in Western Australia.
Mr Thomson holds a Bachelor of Applied Science, a Graduate Diploma in Social Science, and a Graduate Certificate in Public Sector Management.
