John Stanning has over 20 years of experience in the natural resources sector as an investment banker, including 17 years at Macquarie Capital where he co-headed the Perth team. He has deep lithium sector relationships and a proven track record of assisting battery materials companies with corporate strategy including executing their growth and funding plans.
Mr Stanning completed his first lithium sector transaction more than a decade ago and has advised on 15 announced transactions in the lithium sector, along with a significant number of additional transactions across the broader market.
Mr Stanning became the chief development officer of Pilbara Minerals in late February 2023. Prior to that, he was with Macquarie Group and spent two years as an investment banking manager with Rothschild in Perth.
