John McGlue has more than 25 years of experience as a communications and financial markets professional.
He is a former chair of Australia and senior managing director of FTI Consulting Strategic Communications, one of the world’s leading financial communications firms. Mr McGlue was an industrial equities analyst and institutional dealer with Porter Western (now part of Macquarie Equities) and later as chief executive of national group Australian Discount Stockbroking. He then established Castle Gates Australia as an independent, specialist advisory firm providing confidential, value-added advice in a range of disciplines.
In 2002, Mr McGlue acquired a 50% interest in financial PR firm Porter Novelli Perth. In 2008, the combined business was acquired by NYSE-listed FTI Consulting.
Mr McGlue was also a former business editor and state political editor of The West Australian newspaper. He was a columnist with The Australian newspaper and had a sabbatical as presenter on ABC Perth.
