John McConnell

John McConnell was chief executive of AHG in August 2016 and became managing director in January 2017 until his departure in September 2019. Mr McConnell spent 17 years at Inchcape, a multinational automotive retail and services company headquartered in the UK, and was its group financial director in London and chief executive of operations across Australia and New Zealand. Prior to Inchcape, he worked with Reckitt and Colman (now Reckitt Benckiser) for 13 years in a variety of senior financial roles in the UK, Germany and Australia. Mr McConnell is a certified accountant with a Master of Business Administration from the University of Queensland, and a Bachelor of Economics from Macquarie University.
