John Maher has over 25 years of executive leadership and directorship experience across several public-listed and private companies.
He is a senior advisor to BGH Capital, Australia's private equity firm. Mr Maher was group chief executive of the Indigenous Land and Sea Corporation (ILSC), one of the country's agribusiness and tourism enterprises. Prior to heading up the ILSC Group, he was the long-term managing director and chief executive of ASX-listed rural services company Ruralco Holdings for nine years. Prior to Ruralco, he was a senior executive at Wesfarmers for 10 years and AWB for two years where he led the Landmark (now Nutrien) rural services business to then record profit and return on capital levels.
Mr Maher has also been a director on several boards including goFARM Australia, White Prince, and AWN Food and Fibre Holdings.
He is a a recipient of Sydney University's Alumni Outstanding Achievement Award. He studied Global Agribusiness at Harvard University.
