William John DeCooman Jr has almost 30 years of executive leadership and mining finance experience.
He was the president and chief executive of Sweetwater Royalties, a privately-held base and industrial minerals royalty company, from 2020 to 2023. He was also senior vice president of business development and strategy at SSR Mining where he was responsible for corporate strategy, business development, and investor relations from 2009 to 2020. Prior to that, Mr DeCooman spent over 15 years in mining project finance and advisory
responsibilities at Deutsche Banc Alex Brown and Standard Bank; and held corporate positions in finance, business development and exploration.
