Jodie Silvester, founder of KAS Accounting Solutions in Kununurra, provides individuals, businesses and non-for-profit organisations in the East Kimberley region with accounting services that would have otherwise been unavailable in these remote areas. She moved to the East Kimberley region in 2004 as a young accounting professional, successfully gaining her tax agent licence in 2006 and membership with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand in 2008. KAS has been successfully operating in the East Kimberley region for over 10 years and has branched out with a second office in Darwin, Northern Territory. Ms Silvester is the 2019 Telstra Australian Business Women’s Small Business Award winner.
