Jessica Farrell has over 15 years of experience within the mining industry.
Ms Farrell joined BHP in July 2019 as general manager of integrated planning and remote operations at BHP Iron Ore Western Australia, where she is accountable for the safety and operational leadership of the remote operations centre and the scheduling and planning of the oron ore supply chain. She will become BHP's Nickel West asset president in August 2021.
Prior to BHP, Ms Farrell has worked across operations, maintenance, strategy, services support and commercial strategy. She joined Rio Tinto in 2006 and was manager of business transformation, a mining executive for its copper division, and general manager of port and marine operations. During her 13-year tenure at Rio Tinto, she has worked in several locations within Australia and internationally.
Ms Farrell is a director on the RightShip Board, and an appointed member on the management committee of the Chamber of Minerals and Energy Western Australia.
Ms Farrell holds Bachelor degrees in Business and Arts. She has also undertaken a number of postgraduate studies through INSEAD, Duke, London Business School and IMD across Australia, Singapore, France, US and Switzerland.
