Jean-Sebastien Boutet is an experienced metals and mining executive with over 16 years spent in the bauxite and aluminium industry, including more than 6 years working in West Africa.
He also has a background in business development, operations management and mine logistics, Mr Boutet has significant experience in securing key partnerships, developing and implementing marketing and commercial strategy, and ensuring key workstreams towards development are achieved on time and on budget.
Prior to becoming the chief executive of Canyon Resources in January 2022, Mr Boutet was the chief commercial officer of Alufer Mining, an independent bauxite mining company that discovered and developed the now operational Bel Air bauxite deposit. He was also the commercial and market development director of Alcoa.
