Liberal Party facing ‘electoral catastrophe’: Turnbull
Former prime minister Malcolm Turnbull says the Liberal Party must change course from its increasingly right-wing agenda driving voters away.
Jason Wood is an Australian politician who was elected to the Australian House of Representatives for the Division of La Trobe, Victoria for the Liberal Party of Australia at the 2004 federal election. He was the Assistant Minister for Customs, Community Safety and Multicultural Affairs in the Morrison Government from May 2019 to May 2022 when the Liberal Party was defeated at the federal election. In June 2022, Mr Wood became the Shadow Minister for Community Safety, Migrant Services & Multicultural Affairs in the Dutton shadow ministry.
Mr Wood was a senior sergeant with the Victoria Police counter-terrorism unit before entering politics.
He has qualifications in Management, including a Masters in Applied Science (field innovation service management – counter terrorism).

Anthony Albanese has ruled out expanding the $107 million government compensation bill for live sheep exporters during a visit to Perth today but says he’s open to proposals from farmers for value-add projects.
