Jason Ricketts

Jason Ricketts was appointed general counsel of Andrew and Nicola Forrest-backed Tattarang & Minderoo Foundation in July 2020. Prior to that, he spent over 30 years with Herbert Smith Freehills including as managing partner of finance, real estate, projects and LatAm; managing partner of Australia; international partner of clients & sectors; and inaugural regional managing partner for Australia following the global merger of Freehills and Herbert Smith in 2012.

He works with major public and private organisations on industry reform and restructuring, major infrastructure projects and also advises general contractual and commercial matters.

Mr Ricketts has particular expertise in Australian and offshore infrastructure projects in the health, transport, water and waste management industries. He advises on various procurement strategies including alliances, ECI and other relationship-based contracting strategies for delivering infrastructure projects and services.
