Fortawall stands strong in safer pursuits
A company founded to tackle safety issues with fencing has won Startup Business of the Year after making its mark nationwide.
Jason Nuttman has over 25 years’ experience with global companies across a variety of industries.
Initially working for global alcohol business Diageo managing brands including Smirnoff Vodka, Johnnie Walker, Bundaberg Rum and Guinness. He spent 10 years working for La Z Boy Furniture and global furniture brand managing Western Australia, Northern Territory and South Australia.
In 2009, Mr Nuttman launched an independent running retail business called The Running Centre in West Perth.
In 2010, he worked with Seattle-based renewable energy startup Planetary Power in the US and was responsible for the product development in Australasia. This role saw him working with the former NASA and Boeing Engineering team members to develop and test hybrid power generation systems for the Australian market.
Mr Nuttman saw the opportunity to provide the Australian construction and resources sector with a range of Australian made and designed security and surveillance systems utilizing renewable energy and the world class security components.
In 2015, he launched construction site security business Site Sentry.
