Jason Chan has over 25 years of experience in senior leadership roles within Australia, UK and New Zealand.
Mr Chan will become the executive general manager of Bankwest in February 2022. He has been with the Commonwealth Bank since January 2019 and has led critical customer-focused areas including remediation, responsible lending, home buying, strategy and innovation. Mr Chan was previously the executive general manager of product and marketing at Bankwest from 2014 to 2017, strategy consultant of Fonterra and Radio Network, and chief marketing officer at the Bank of New Zealand.
Mr Chan holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration (majoring in Information Systems) from Victoria University of New Zealand.

Jason Chan will lead Bankwest as executive general manager, after his predecessor Sinead Taylor was appointed to the c-suite of Commonwealth Bank.
The Commonwealth Bank subsidiary plans to close its 14 east coast branches and reduce opening hours at 29 regional branches in Western Australia.
Bankwest will close all branches and undertake a major redeployment of staff to ensure the 129-year-old bank can remain competitive in the digital age.
