Amnesty uncovers $588m unpaid super
Roughly 24,000 business owners have come forward to admit underpaying superannuation to their workers.
Jane Hume is an Australian politician, a member of the Liberal Party, and a Senator for Victoria since 2016.
Ms Hume became the Assistant Minister for Superannuation, Financial Services and Financial Technology in May 2019 and took on the Digital Economy portfolio in December 2020. In the March 2021 federal cabinet reshuffle, she took on the additional portfolio of Women's Economic Security. In June 2022, following the Liberal Party's defeat at the federal election, Ms Hume became the Shadow Minister for Finance, Public Service & Special Minister of State in the Dutton shadow ministry.
Prior to her election, Ms Hume was a senior policy advisor of AustralianSuper and held various senior positions in the financial services industry including the National Australia Bank, Rothschild Australia, and Deutsche Bank.
She completed a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Melbourne, and returned to study Political Science.
